This is a story of Heroic Deeds and the bitter struggle for the triumph of Good over Evil and of a wondrous Sword wielded by a mighty Hero when the Legions of Darkenss stalk the land.

Who is responsible for this run on sentence of questionable tense. For this we must thank the genius of Terry Marcel and Harry Robertson. The men who wrote Hawk the Slayer.

Hawk the Slayer is the best fantasy movie ever made. Sure, Conan, Lord of the Rings, and Army of Darkness are great flicks, but they just don't hold up to the spirit of Hawk. No other movie more accurately captures the feel of a Dungeons and Dragons game. Hawk is the consummate Paladin, brave, courageous and a great warrior. The giant is the perfect giant, and what better name to give a giant than Gort. But the best character has to be Crow who makes Legolas look like a barrel rider from laketown when it comes to portraying a true elf.
